July Income Report

Every month I will be documenting my income from all of my side hustles. As I am just starting out some (more like all) of these amounts will be very little or even nothing. In full future me style though I’m going to include things that I may not even be doing yet because I know that in the future these things will be bringing in an income.

Rideshare Income $0.00

It’s been a while since I’ve done this particular side hustle, that will change in the future but as of now still nothing.

 Blog Income $0.00

I hit my highest views of all time last month, something I hope to beat again this month, even still the blog income is non-existent. I didn’t get enough money to cash out from the ads on the site. Also, no one clicked on and purchased any of my affiliates.

I’m not frustrated with either of those things as the site is still growing and I’m not really trying to sell yet. In the coming months as I work harder on my business I’ll make sure that I make it easier to click on affiliate links.

Freelance Income $651.18

I cannot believe that people read what I write, let alone pay me to write for them. Though I’ve been doing it this entire year and had good income from it it’s still hard to believe for me.

With me working full time for myself now I am looking for more work to make this income even more.

Amazon FBA Income $1309.67 Cost $1609.85

This is the perfect example of my “sales” has little to do with how much money I’ll make in a month. July was by far my highest sales month of all time, beating even December 2016. However, I don’t get the majority of the money until August so this income will be much larger in August than July even though the sales came from July.

On top of that, I spent far more in the month than I made…again. The truth is as this business grows that’s going to keep happening. My goal is to keep spending until the business is constantly making money. I’m still running out of money and waiting for more even though I started with only a few hundred and now am in the thousands per month.

This is a fun, and complicated income source that I love to do and talk about.

Misc. Income $91.50

I finally came public on this income and having people use my prescription savings card that saves them money and makes me a little. I didn’t get any Ebates money this month but think I get some next month.

Wrap Up

My ultimate goal is to get all of the side income to match or surpass mine and my wife’s current 9 to 5 income.

Monthly Income Needed:$3,000
Side Income Total:$2052.32
Difference:-$947.68
YOY Increase: $561.35 or 37.6%

Less than a thousand away from goal, not to bad. My plans to make up the difference moving forward are to continue to grow my Amazon business and to start driving for Lyft and Uber again.

If I continue to have Amazon sales like I did this month than that alone will pay my bills, That one thought keeps me going.

Next Month

August will be exciting, I don’t have any real “vacation” type plans so I will be able to focus on the business and getting out of debt. I also have a new avenue of my brand that I’ll be doing starting in just a few weeks, more on that later this month.

  1. That’s some pretty awesome freelance writing income! I feel the same way about being amazed when people let me write for them. I mean, I know it’s not terrible, but I’m still surprised they pick me sometimes.

  2. I like how you’re giving your blog time to grow and remaining consistent. Summer months are always slow in terms of blogging traffic and income and freelancing is still my main source of income right now as I continue to build up my blog. I love how you’re diversifying everything though!

    1. It’s so much work to keep everything going, sometimes I’m not sure which thing to work on. I’m not as concerned with blog traffic at the moment but have every intention of continuing to be regular.
