July Income Report

Every month I will be documenting my income from all of my side hustles. As I am just starting out some (more like all) of these amounts will be very little or even nothing. In full future me style though I’m going to include things that I may not even be doing yet because I know that in the future these things will be bringing in an income.

Rideshare Income $100, Miles Driven 0, Time 0 Hours

I have been very lax when it comes to driving, I recently got approved to drive for Uber and will be going out in August trying to bring in some extra income.

I recently had my hours lowered at my 9 to 5 and thus need to make up this income sooner rather than later.

Rideshare driving isn’t my favorite, but it is probably the easiest to make money on a regular basis.

The only income I did get from Lyft was a referral, a friend of mine was interested in driving and so I gave him my code and we both made an extra $100. Not bad for not doing any work.

 Blog Income $0.00

No one is clicking on my affiliate links, I’m not upset about it I’ve kind of just spread them throughout the site in random places whenever I’m talking about something.

I did add a banner on every page now for site ground which is the same hosting  I use for this site I highly reccommend it as it has been very easy to use. If you would like to start a website click here.

Freelance Income $23.72

Not much to report here, I have been taking it easy writing, not just for others but for my blog as well.

I talked about that in an update recently, and would love to do more but finding the time has been more difficult than I originally thought.

I have decided to actually view all of these side hustles as my job as I NEED the money now more than before, so hopefully you’ll see this number go up in the coming months.

Amazon FBA Income $1241.25 Cost $2352.33

So yes the income here went up from last month a little, but the cost of merchandise was almost double the income.

I know those numbers look bad, but as I’ve said before they are a little misleading.

My last payment from Amazon for July was the 21st, meaning that I had 10 days of buying merchandise that takes time to arrive to amazon and sell. In those 10 days I spent $1056.52 of which much hasn’t even arrived to Amazon as of the writing of this.

If you take that off it would bring the “cost” down to $1295.81, still more than the income.

That being said as mentioned in my debt update, I have nearly $2,000.00 in inventory sitting at Amazon.

This is something that is complicated to explain, and some months are going to look like this as the business continues to grow. I’m hoping by December this is more than enough income to keep my bills covered and keep the business growing.

Misc. Income $126.00

Random income stream that I haven’t discussed openly on the blog yet.

Wrap Up

My ultimate goal is to get all of the side income to match or surpass mine and my wife’s current 9 to 5 incomes.

Monthly Income Needed: $3,000
Side Income Total: $1490.97
Difference: $1509.03

49.7% to  goal, this goal is going to need to be changed in the coming months. I can already see that my “income” will be near the $3,000 if not August then September, but as you can see from the Amazon cost if I meet this goal it won’t be enough to actually cover my bills.

Next Month

I will update you on my goals of income, maybe even change how I count the income from Amazon as it is a bit confusing.

I’m going to spend more time on writing both on my blog and freelancing. I just got approved to drive for Uber so I will write about that and the differences between the two.

How was your month? Did you make as much as you had anticipated? What are you going to do differently this month to make sure you become the “future me”? Commit to it now by telling us in the comments bellow.
