March Income Report

Every month I will be documenting my income from all of my side hustles. As I am just starting out some (more like all) of these amounts will be very little or even nothing. In full future me style though I’m going to include things that I may not even be doing yet because I know that in the future these things will be bringing in an income.

Rideshare Income $0.00

Though I have the option to go driving time has not allowed me to. I have a few idea’s of “experiements” I want to do in the near future to let other people know how much they can expect from this side hustle but right now, not so much.

Going back to my first income reports, you’ll see that this was my largest income for a while. We’ll see what comes of it in the future.

 Blog Income $14.11

I had my first sponsored post on the site this month, not sure how I felt about it or the amount of money I was paid for it. We’ll see if I continue to take sponsored posts in the future.

Freelance Income $1,127.35

What a difference!! The increase is due to a number of factors. First, I have clients now, plural instead of just one which is new for me. Second, one of my clients has a huge project I’ve been working on taking up the majority of my time. I don’t mind it taking up the time though as I am also getting paid pretty well.

In the future I hope for this number to increase, though I’m sure this will probably be one of the best months I have for a while.

Amazon FBA Income $677.97 Cost $432.66

Oh how the mighty have fallen. So in December I had record sales and income from Amazon. Now only 3 months later I’m not doing as well as I would have hoped.

So to be fair I wasn’t home for about a week at the beginning of the month. Then, when I was home, I was working on freelance work (see last heading) and used that as an excuse to not work on Amazon. Now the income I received from Freelance was my best ever so it was time well spent BUT, I want to refocus on Amazon in the coming months.

Yes it’s the most capital intense income stream I have, but it can also be my most profitable (again look at last December). With that in mind I have a few plans for the coming months that will hopefully show Amazon for the money maker it really is.

Misc. Income $131.93

Not yet discussed on the blog entirely, this is some random low income stream that will have it’s own blog post in the future.

Wrap Up

My ultimate goal is to get all of the side income to match or surpass mine and my wife’s current 9 to 5 income.

Monthly Income Needed: $3,000
Side Income Total: $1,951.36
Difference: -$1,048.64
YOY Increase: $1581.25 or 427%

Look at that increase over last year! I am really excited about that. And looking back over my income reports last year it’s going to be increasingly difficult to match that percentage on the months to come. Though that won’t stop me from trying.

March was an incredible month, I was able to go home for a visit, worked extra hours at my 9 to 5, and increased my freelance work. I averaged somewhere around 14 hour work days which is something I don’t wish to continue.

Next Month

April is going to be a big month for me. I have already started my new business plan when it comes to Amazon, and should see how well that’s working in the near future. My freelance clients apparently loved the work I did and have more work for me to do which is also great.

Rideshare may not happen again this month, but who knows maybe I’ll surprise myself and go out for a little bit.
