Hello, and welcome to this weeks review. This is a truly enjoyable article to write each week because I think it’s important to follow as many personal finance blogs as possible in order to make informed decisions about your finances. Though personal finance bloggers are further down the road financially then others this doesn’t mean that you should follow every word they say, instead you should listen to many advisers, take in all the information and then make the best personal decision for you.
So here I discuss the top 5 articles from the week that I will take something away from, that I will implement in my life. What you find in these articles might not apply at all to you or your situation, or it may apply more so than in mine. It’s my hope that you decide the best course of action for you and then live the future life that makes you happy.
So without further ado, in no particular order here are my top five picks from this week.
1.6 Income Generation Ideas To Pay Down Student Loan Debt at The College Investor
If you look at my income reports, you will see that I love to have multiple streams of income. In fact after years of having only one income and almost losing that, I know that it’s important to have more than just one income stream. Coming up with new ones is really up to trial and error, but it’s important that you find what works and stick with it.
Go to this article to learn about 6 ways you could make some side income, like selling on amazon.
2.Are You In Financial Denial? at Retire By 40
For years I stuck my hand in the sand in denial about how bad my finances really were. And even though I now know, I still am a long way away from having any type of security financially.
This is an awesome article everyone should check out.
3.Find Well-Paying Clients: 7 Best Alternatives to Traditional Freelance Job Boards at Careful Cents
I’m so interested in this income stream, and am constantly looking for ways to increase this. I currently have one client and would love to have more, with Carries tips I might be able to get somewhere.
I used a few of the tips from this article to try to grow my freelance business, but it hasn’t worked yet. I’m not giving up though I’m going to keep trying until I get somewhere here.
4.Interview with a Multi-Million Dollar Amazon Seller at The Selling Family
As of right now my largest source of income (other than my 9 to 5) is selling on Amazon. In fact right now the most likely side hustle that could snowball into a full time job is selling on amazon.
This article talks about two guys who started with a credit card with a $500 limit and now have a multimillion dollar business and a credit limit of $100,000. Though I don’t think I’ll ever get to that point, mostly because I don’t really need that kind of money, it is nice to know it’s completely possible if you just put in the hard work.
5. The #PFBOOKCHAT Summer 2016 Reading Selections at Dream Beyond Debt
I love reading, my wife even tells me I have a problem because of the reading I do. I have never been in any type of book club before but have always wanted to. Amanda had the great idea of starting one and I am eager to participate.
Though the books were not the ones I chose in the survey they are still great books and I look forward to talking with like minded people about them. I have yet to read the first book (will have to get it read by next week) but am looking forward to it.
In Case You Missed These
I am determined to keep up my schedule for this site, grow my freelance business, grow my amazon business, and grow my email list. This week has been a busy one at my 9 to 5 (worked overtime this week) as well as keeping up with this blog and my own personal life.
I hope you all have had a good week, and a wonderful weekend.
How was your week? Did you accomplish all your goals? Any blog posts that I missed that you think would be good to read? Let me know in the comments.
