Have you ever swiped your credit card saying you would pay it off in the future? Ate a piece of cake when you know you shouldn’t because you will exercise or diet “later”? Or, have you ever said you would start saving money someday when things get easier, but they never do?
Then this site is the place for you.
What You’ll Find On This Site
I’m working hard to get out of debt that I foolishly thought the “future me” would be able to pay off. Making sacrifices of luxuries and time in order to reach my goal. I’m doing this by side hustling and using that money to pay off debt.
I show every month how much money I’ve made, and go into detail about how I make it. If you have ever been interested in learning about selling Amazon FBA, driving for Lyft and Uber, Freelancing, or starting your own business to make money then you can learn that here.
How It Started For Me
For me, it all started with a $50 dollar emergency that I couldn’t afford. Our apartment flooded and the landlord told us to take care of it and take the amount off the rent that month.
We needed to rent some equipment that would cost $50 and I didn’t have the money. I had to call and ask my father who was more than happy to help.
Though he never made me feel bad about it I had never felt more sick in my life. I couldn’t believe that $50 had been too much for me to handle.
When I had calmed down and paid my father back, I started looking up “how to save money”, “how to make money” and, “how to get out of debt”. What I found opened my eyes, not only are their people out there my age that had no debt, but they’re working for themselves and in complete control of their time.
That sounded perfect to me, something I wanted to do. So I started trying everything I could to make money on the side. I failed most of my first attempts, I started a blog about cooking thinking that it would work well. Then I started writing for infobarrell and hubspot but made nothing. I started taking pictures and uploading them to IStock and any other site I could think of.
But then I started driving for Lyft, and made almost $60 my first night only driving for 3 hours. I loved it and thought that I really could do something on the side.
I started driving more and more, excited about making money other than my 9 to 5. But it started feeling more like a job with how many hours I was putting in. Not that I was afraid of hard work but that I just didn’t want to do only this for income.
It was around this time that I also started listening to Pat at Smart Passive Income. I loved his podcast so much I started at the first one and went all the way to the current one (at the time 170). Trying out different things when they came up (like infobarrell and hubspot) but it wasn’t until episode 99 with Jessica and Cliff from The Selling Family that I found something that I thought would work for me.
I immediately went out and started buying things to send to Amazon to sell, and nothing. It didn’t sell and I was devastated. I kept at it and eventually started selling some small things but nothing more than $20 or $50 a month. But I knew this business would work so I kept reading what I could and investing what I dared to without jeopardizing the work we had already put into paying off our debt.
After a few months, and learning the importance of ranks when buying things, I was doing on average $2,500 a month in sales and ended the first year with sales of $20,164.70.
I Still Have A Lot To Learn, Learn With Me
I still have a long way to go, my debt still has to be paid off, I’m still growing businesses even after leaving my 9 to 5 in June of 2017.
